Last year a lady came up to me at work one morning and was fully prepared with several photos of her dog that she wanted drawn. I picked what i thought was the best one which was a 3/4 view. Sadly, I didn't take a picture of that one. The lady came back later to pick it up and she liked it so much that she wanted one of the other photos done. I picked the profile view. This was my first attempt at drawing a pastel animal portrait at work, but luckily the photos were so excellent that I took at chance and drew it anyway. I love the way it turned out and i wish more quests would come in the park with pet photos!
This is Beaver Cleaver. I drew it from a picture in a magazine and it was on display at France Portraits in 2007. I don't know where it is now.
Silhouttes always look pretty with bows, but sometimes they can be difficult to cut. This one wasn't too hard.

This was drawn for a display portrait for work. I spent an hour and a half on it. Kamans liked it so much that they sent it to Ohio(without telling me) to make copies to send to other parks. I had to explain to them that I wanted the original back and it wasn't just some random person. I got it back about a year later. I know it is hanging up at Busch Gardens Europe and Sea World Orlando and who knows where else.
I painted this in my summer painting class of 2007 with acrylics. Spent a couple hours on it. Maybe 8? Took 2 days to finish.
